Amelia Parker’s Assassination (First Draft)
What is a ‘First Draft’?
At Green Oak we pride ourselves on producing original productions. We are trying something new with one of our developing scripts but auditioning and running a two-week workshop to improve the script. This will be followed by a one-night-only, stripped-back performance with minimal set and props and actors still reading off scripts.
What’s the show about?
Amelia Parker is going to be assassinated. She has no idea she’s in danger. Neither do the strangers that find themselves ripped from their lives only to appear in her house. As the mystery of their sudden arrival unfolds, so too does the plot to eliminate Amelia Parker before she can make world-changing decisions. Together with an eclectic collection of characters, she must fight for survival and decide how she is going to leave her mark on the world.
How can I get involved?
As an actor - Auditions for the workshop will be held on Saturday 22nd August. The workshop will involve two weeks of preparation and an all-day rehearsal before the final performance on Saturday 19th September. We are accepting auditionees of all backgrounds, abilities and identities turning 15 years or older in 2026, and who are confident in script analysis, improvisation and being adaptable on stage.
Email greenoaktheatre@gmail.com by COB Thursday 20th August to book an audition slot or ask any questions.
As a patron - At the performance, all patrons will be given the opportunity to give feedback on the script that the writer can use to improve it further.
